Q: What types of services do Sidekick caregivers provide?
A: We offer a full range of in-home care services for adults including: companionship, rehab & recovery, meal prep, cleaning & housekeeping, personal care, social & physical activity, memory care support, medication support, errands, transportation, and palliative care. All of these services are also available to support your family’s respite care needs for primary caregivers.
Q: Does Sidekick only care for seniors?
A: No. While we specialize in senior care, we also support adults of all ages who need help at home—whether due to recovery from surgery, injury, illness, or a chronic condition. Some women need home care related to a pregnancy. Our caregivers provide personalized, non-medical support wherever it’s needed most.
Q: How does Sidekick differ from medical home health care?
A: Unlike medical home care, Sidekick does not provide clinical nursing services. Our focus is personalized support with daily living tasks. Sidekick helps seniors age safely at home, and also supports any adult’s in-home recovery, rehabilitation, adaptation, and household support needs.
Q: How do you hire caregivers?
A: We conduct thorough background checks, licensing verification, and personal interviews. Caregivers are selected for both their skills and their ability to build trusting, empathetic relationships.
Q: How do you match my caregiver?
A: During your in-home assessment we determine your care needs, preferences, schedule, and environment to determine which caregivers are the best fit.
Q: Can I meet the caregiver before services begin?
A: Absolutely. We can arrange an introductory visit so you and your loved one can meet the caregiver face-to-face before starting care.
Q: What if I’m not satisfied with a caregiver match?
A: We’ll work quickly to find a different caregiver who better fits your personality, needs, or schedule—no hard feelings.
Q: How can I customize care for my loved one?
A: A care coordinator conducts a detailed in-home assessment and collaborates with you to design a personalized plan that meets your loved one’s preferences and schedule. We constantly reassess when your needs or schedule changes.
Q: Are your services available 24 hours?
A: Yes—we offer 24-hour home care services for around-the-clock support, especially helpful for dementia and Alzheimer’s needs.
Q: What is respite care and do you offer it??
A: Respite care is in-home care to give family caregivers a break so they can rest, recharge, or attend to other commitments. The definition of a sidekick is someone who comes alongside. We love providing respite care.
Q: Is Sidekick available in my local area?
A: We currently serve Denver, Cherry Creek, University Hills, Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Heritage Eagle Bend, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Castle Rock and surrounding South Metro Denver communities.
Q: Is Medicare or insurance accepted for Sidekick services?
A: Non-medical care is typically not covered by Medicare. Some private insurers and long term care may reimburse for home care—please ask your provider to confirm.
Q: How do you support medication reminders?
A: Caregivers help seniors take medications at scheduled times—reminding, organizing pillboxes, and alerting family members if issues arise.
Q: Can Sidekick assist with meals and groceries?
A: Yes—our caregivers support senior meal prep and grocery shopping, making meal planning and cooking easier and healthier.
Q: How do I start working with Sidekick Home Care?
A: Just call or complete the contact form. We’ll schedule a free assessment, discuss your needs, design a care plan, and match a caregiver who feels right.
